Thoughts on these welds

    Still a newbie welder, are the settings to high on these welds ? Been a few times I've thought my welds have been strong and later found out havnt penetrated enough and broke easy. Trying to make my container more secure after my motox bike was stolen.

    Difficult to tell from the photo. Welds look ok. Try some destructive testing on test bits?

    yea i would say using bits of scrap test to see what settings get you the best results/what your happy with.

    Dont need to look pretty to be secure ;)

    Looks good, but it's hard to tell with MIG welds as to how strong they are without destructive testing.

    My test is, Weld it up on the bench, Knock it off the bench, Is it still together? Then its a good un!
