They're built to suit the canal.are they built to suit the canal size nowadays?
Yup, that was all part of the "Swords to Plowshares" program...or "How can we use up a bunch of theseRead something recently that they were going to do some of the excavations with nuclear bombs.....to speed things up a bit

Its always busy, so a good earner for those who gain from it, might be some opposition to a new route and all that digging wont be cheap.A lot of digging involved, but a useful addition.
Isn't the Suez canal too small for some big ships, or are they built to suit the canal size nowadays?
Did I hear somewhere that they are digging a parallel canal to the Panama one? It's bigger, wider, deeper etc.Whats strange is 2 weeks ago I was looking at the history of the suez canal and wondering why nobody had ever dug a second canal!....given the advancement in technology surely it would be reasonably quick too.
What have you got against the scouts?it wont be with the tent dwellers...

All depends what your perception of time is grasshopper, example of a thousand years being only an hour in earth time. So what is 100 years of climate worth?...your prediction of a smart arrs coming to the table was right.Current problem with the Panama canal is insufficient rainfall and inadequate water for the ginormous locks, but someone will be along in a minute to tell me climate change is a hoax.....
Short of water or not, passing through it, is a very memorable experience! Its an amazing engineering feet!Current problem with the Panama canal is insufficient rainfall and inadequate water for the ginormous locks, but someone will be along in a minute to tell me climate change is a hoax.....
Size twelves, at the very least.Short of water or not, passing through it, is a very memorable experience! Its an amazing engineering feet!

Didnt know it was that old, been through there a few times too…..Both Panama and Suez are quite something when you think about it. A suez max ship would be too big to get in to the Thames loaded for example, hence why the box boats go to Felixstowe.
