Hi guys first post...
i bought a chinese 200 AC/DC tig from ebay about 6 month to a year ago, i know i know, but it was obviously cheap and i just wanted to try and get into welding as a hobby and help me out a bit in the garage
so it was working fine, not used it for a while and the other day i went out to do a bit more practice on A/C Ali . .. it sparked towards the word with a think weak arc like you see across a taser and that was it, nothing checked the earth lead, earthed straight to the part... cleaned the tungsten( was new anyway) nothing.... so i got to the controls.. all still light up ... the dial changes the amp display, but none of the other buttoms work cant change program, it has staored settings (1-9) cant change between AC to DC, pulse, nothing the only thing responding on the panel is the dial and obviously will not strike an arch, fan comes on when i turn it on and off
just wanted to ask if anything simple would spring to mind - or is it just cooked one of the PCB's somewhere
just want to see if i can revive it maybe before i order myself a parweld XTT212 and drop £900 on a hobby loool
PS i have tried to google and search for answers first
thanks guys
