Posted elsewhere on here, apologies mods but realised it was more appropriate here.
So I need to repair my mower deck:
I'd buy a complete new skirt for £58. It's nom 88mm high.
But I'm tight so am going to have a crack and make just a 900mm 'ish long section. Got some 2mm steel. Do I bend to shape first then put the lip on or form the lipped channel then bend it?
I was thinking form the lipped channel first then bend it. I was going to clamp the 2mm steel between the flanges of a couple of bits of PFC to initially make the channel then think how to curve it:
If 2mm thick and I want a 10mm finished lip, how much do I leave sticking out before bending?
Cheers
