A bit of help/advice please.
My first welding project is a 1968 Mk 111 Triumph spitfire. Since buying a welder been doing a few small jobs and everything has been fine. I spent all day today taking of the Inner and outer sills and the strengthener on the passenger side. Being the first time doing this it took me friggin ages as I didn't want ot cut too much out and cock it up. But I'm a bit confused as to the best way to put it back together. Should I do the strengthener first then the inner then the outer sill. Or should I do the outer sill first to get it lined up right and then the strengtener, then the inner sill ? Sorry if this goes on a bit... And yes I did brace the goor gap first!
Also..... the replacement panels have a black coating /paint, should this be removed before welding
Thanks
Andy
