No for the money it's perfect for the likes of us and no I'm in stick at the moment want to learn how to stick before I even consider the easy route lol
Well tig is defo something for the future yeah I kept reading learn arc first your head will fall off if you dont arc weld first so I'm learning arc lol but I do need to start practising mig coz what I wanna do alot of.it is to thine for arc but thanks dude i will doYeah i thought it looked like stick but i thought id make sure.
i learnt to MIG (kinda) before i ever did stick because i bought a MIG a couple years ago because its kinda versatile, then i got a TIG, and that could do stick so i thought id have a go!

Yes you are right no point getting g great on real thick stuff whe I need to be able to weld thineWorth thinking about what you'll be doing and practicing on that.
I remember I spent ages getting lovely beads on 4mm steel.... But I mainly restore Japanese cars which are generally 0.8mm so all I ever do is the stop/start on minimum power .
