I finally purchased my second mig, i looked at a lot of machines including sip, hahn, parweld. i wanted to get the portamig 285 but I couldnt justify the cost. I went up to www.howdentools.ie in co cavan and tested the swp redline 280 and the sip 303. i went for the transformer machine, and i was very surprised at the build quality, it was truly excellent the machine is made from proper quality stuff. the pictures on the net show 7 voltage settings but infact they now come with a low/high switch and 8 fine volt settings, 16 in total. machine has both stitch and spot weld timer, copper wound transformer, current range 40amp-280amp, 4 roll wire drive, came with a swp auto helmet, twin stage regulator and 4 metre mb25 torch FOR 795 EURO inc vat. having owned the 210 redline and it has never missed a beat, i wasnt afraid of the bigger brother. duty cycle isn't bad and its definitely an upgrade from what i had 100% @ 130 amps and 40% @ 200amps. even in manual it has its own inspection docket and serial number and has been signed off on. Wire feed looks of good quality and also is fitted with digital read outs. few pictures, in order
