Hi all,
I have a question which I hope someone will be able to help with. I took on a welder to weld some railings (recommendation of a friend) and it turns out he is rubbish. He is welding using stick weld and every weld looks like Swiss cheese, when he grinds it back to try and clean it up the black holes just get larger. He is adamant that galvernising the rails and then powder coating them will hide the imperfections. I am not convinced as the finished color will be white. I can very easily walk away from the deal and I have lost nothing other time. However I have worked with him for a day(helping measure and cut, drill...etc) and he is a hard worker so I don't really want to just walk away. So my question is what can be done to hide the appearance of the swiss cheese look?
