suprise visit in rat trap

checked the rat trap today and thought id caught a large one . to my surprise it was a hedgehog dunno how it got in but I had to cut the cage up to get it out . got a tray and cover and sat it in with some milk and dog meat and10 mins later it was eating it and now sleeping it off il let it go later tonite if it already don't climb out and go

Good on you BS for sorting it out over your cages welfare...this is one of many of the British countryside creatures i have a lot of time for and do my best to help them...iff you have these hogs around your houses please make sure you have grid and drain covers fitted as once they fall into a grid the poor sods cant get out and drown

Well done for rescuing him/her from your trap. Mrs. ZX9 found a little owl in our hotel yesterday at about 6AM, poor thing must have flown in when the sliding doors were open and got trapped inside when they shut up the bar in the wee small hours. Aparently it was a bit stunned flying at the closed window so she scooped it up and released it outside from where it flew off, all this before I had finished breakfast.

Ive got a family living under the new shed. I thought the noise might scare them away but it hasnt. They are all over the garden at night (Ive got cameras). Not many slugs and snails so they are very welcome. Ive been considering feeding them but Im not sure if its a good idea or not

One of my dogs caught ticks from a hedgehog once,passed them to the cat,both went to the vet for removal....not nice if they are hairy

Pie and peas. No chips though, they don't like them. A can of larger helps wash it down nicely.
