I am needing to replace the square profile rail on the Y axis of my plasma table due to the trucks being knackered. They were built out of 12 knackered ones and I managed to make 4 half decent ones but after 3 or 4 years they are goosed.

As I don't need super accuracy and the plasma has no cutting forces I am thinking of just using round rails.

Does anyone have a plasma with round rails or even a router? If so what diameter are they?
I was going to go 25mm but they are 12mm higher than the current setup and that would mean quite a bit of alterations. The 20mm dia however are just 2mm higher and I can likely get away with that with the adjustment in the pinions.

Might be a bit late but i use 16mm round supported linear rails for my plasma, got them quite cheap on Amazon in 2m lenght with 2 trolleys each.

Thanks, went with 20mm but decided to build a new table but that has halted now due to being too busy :(
