Hi,
I have just bought a new Supermig 180. I have set it up and tested it but I’m having problems with it.
If you pull the trigger with out allowing the wire to arc then the feed is consistent and steady, but if you try welding then the wire feed slows then stops, and it wont weld. The wire feed then picks up again if you pull the torch from the metal to stop it arcing.
I am using this welder at home, and it seems like the house does not have the power to run the welder. What is odd though is that the house does not trip, and the fuse does not blow in the welders plug. I’m using a 13 amp plug, which I was told would be sufficient.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help!
