In my quest to find the smallest, lightest and cheapest inverter MIG available, I stumbled upon the Static arc 140 from a seller in the Midlands:

Fixed torch, swappable polarity, mini spool only. Thought I would give it a punt with a view to reviewing it for the benefit of the forum, and for something I can easily put in the car to do the odd bit of bodywork over at another location.
It arrived well packaged with the usual Chinese junk helmet, chipping hammer and wire brush. Included is a roll of gasless wire and a few front end consumables (standard mb15 type) along with an earth clamp and electrode holder. Dinse connectors are the small type.
The wire feed mechanism is a standard Chinese affair but it works well. It has a very smooth feed.
I loaded up the supplied wire, set the correct polarity and guessed some settings for V and wfs. Set about some 3mm wall box with a couple of passes:
The supplied gasless wire ran very smoothly with a well defined puddle/slag interface. Plenty of power available from this machine on this thickness.
I have yet to try it with gas, I don't have any spools of .6 in stock, but I will try mild steel, cusi3 and some aluminium and report back.
Finally, obligatory mug shot, this thing really is tiny:
