Daft question?? I want to spot weld/tack a couple of thin stainless steel twin exhaust pipes together and possibly to a bit of mild steel tubing as well. I only have pub gas but have been 'welding' for about 30 years so not a beginner....is it possible?

It should stick but the welds will rust

I've welded bike exhausts which are made of stainless and mild combined, typically Suzuki and they rust but they last as long as the original weld. They will still discolour if you do them in all stainless due to the carbon in the gas.
