hi, ive had an opportunity to meet a guy whos good at stainless, so i asked him to make a sample so i can see how he does it.
i set the machine at 55A and he didnt changed anything we used 1,0 or 1,2mm MIG wire and the run he made was on 1,5mm sheets.
here it is (and an oversized tack weld i made on the right side)
now my attempts at 1,5 (same settings)
the lines is what he marked when he was talking about HAZ,
thats 1,5mm next day.
and 3mm (i excepted better results on thicker material..)
and a fillet but its a lot easier.
heres an average full pen 3mm aluminum, and i can make it better but at least its straight and uniform, and my welds on stainless are not at all, no matter how hard i try.
it would be nice to hear some more suggestions.
