Squealing Regulator?

My Hi-Lo regulator squeaks and each time you use the gas, it's brand new so I'm wondering if this is common, I can't tell if it's actually affecting the welder performance itself as I'm not very good anyway?

Isn't this the second noisy regulator that's been mentioned today? Can't remember the other thread, but the OP's noise turned out to be a squeaky spool spindle or summat. Someone did mention their reg making a noise though...

I have had mine "squeek" in the past, comes and goes. Try using the on/off tap on the bottle like a regulator to reduce a bit the gas feeding into the reg. Think it will be the diaphram in the reg acting like a reed in a musical instrument! or the gauge.

my r tech reg used to squeek badly. sent it back as it was A ) anoying and b) not working properly
