So with my older 9100xx looking aged now. Getting on for 7 years old and nothing else taking my fancy, (or being better for the money in my eyes to upgrade)

Thought it was worth tarting it up.
So ordered fresh front and rear lenses and batteries. Stripped the shell down and gave to a good friend to "tart up"

Just got sent these photo's of what it is looking like.

Can't wait to rebuild it now!! Might have to keep this one at home for best and take my other one back into work!

I’m sure he told me he had a mr B tie once. A welding mask to match would be perfect

Well my mate usually does motorcycles and motorcycle helmets, (as well as his day job)

I have spoken to him and seen what he says.

    This is his usual work

So collected the shell last night, just rebuilt it with new Sony batteries, outer lens shield, (would hAve been inner but sent me the 9100x not xx)

The side windows were absolute pigs to get back in but here us the results.

The one on the right used to be my better helmet, don't think that is the case anymore.
(Still won't make me weld any better though)

Now time to decide what colour for the other one!

P.'s @Brad93 and @Richard. He is willing to do a Mr blobby one if you fancy,
Recons about £65 a shell to paint.

I’ll sneak brads off to you next week for it’s pink and spotty coat. :clapping:

(Just kidding btw. If I did that I think he would be shipping you my lathe for a picture of an Easter bunny accross the bed)

Looks savage in blue. Is that a fx on the right. What is the main difference between a x and XX 9100 is it just the size of the screen?

    Both are xx's.

The difference Between The 9100 is the screen sizes.

The xx is the largest one but doesn't have solar panel like the x

Looks good, pity it will scratch easily ! I would just chosen a nice film print and have it dipped...carbon fiber look or some wild print would have done nicely !
