Hello
I was surprized to read that the maximum allowed flow in liters/hour was 1/4 of the acetylene bottle volume, here, wile it is almost half (1/7) in USA (and elsewhere ?)
The torch mixing system :
http://chalumo29.free.fr/60.htm
Works like a spray gun +- . Is it a "low pressure torch ?" THe true english name would help, also...
It allows to work with a limited acetylen pressure (I read is it the reason for that more favorable ratio ?
Still I only can use 20 nozzles max with the small 0,8 m3 (28,25) I have.
If I have a fair amount of use I may look for larger bottles, that came with a contract (3 years = 160 USD for instance) that will allow me to work with thicker steel
Still I think I cn cut 1/2" and weld 3/32 " max ( a little less actually , may be, but I did see welding of steel tubing done with similar bottles and it was about 4 mm thick)
What do you think about that torch question ? Thanks
BTW I suppose it is forbidden to use compressed air for the cleaning of the inside of the torch, tubes etc (because of the risks of oil traces ) even air filtered for painting with the thinner filter ? What fluids and tools can be used ?
