I have been thinking about buying a tig for some time but other things crop up and i put it to one side, the budget i have set is around the £500ish mark.
How important is having pulse? i see plenty of people rate the Thermal Arc 175te but it does not have pulse, how important is having pulse going to be as i learn to tig weld? what i don't want to be doing is selling it in 2 years because i needed it and could have bought an r-tech or cws in the first place.
How robust is an inverter welder? i see a fair few for sale ads that state kept in house because its an inverter ect ect, although i dont see myself welding aluminium would it be better to stump up more money for a transformer based tig like the tecarc 185 as it will be stored in the garage, how do transformer and inverter compare when you are learning to tig?
Thanks and i apologise if these are repetitive or boring questions.
