snap on pro mig 170s, no wire feed, gas or arc?

    fan runs fine, but thats all, worked ok yesterday, just started tacking up a job and it stopped...
    Any body got any idea's, checked all the obvious, gun connection, gun switch, is it the board gone?

    did the thermal cut out trip amd its not reset itself?

    I was hopeing thats what it was but i'd only just turned it so it was still cold..

    With all those items not working I would look to see if the contactor is operating. If not then try (with trigger pulled) pushing it's manual button to see if any thing operates. Report back results.....

    Hi Mike, I think its the contactor relay, going to order 1 for monday, then fit it and try it,... I'll let you know how i get on,

    Update....
    replaced both contactors and no different so I sent it off for repair to Les Ford via ebay.. turns our that the "Encapsulated PCB Transformer" had blown. Very cheap to buy and looks quite simple to replace so I hope this helps someone in the future, thanks Quizzy..
