Hi Everyone,
Starting to get the hang of this mig welding with my Clarke te135. One thing that is still plaguing me is, when welding I keep getting a strange affect. I will try and explain, I strike the arc and shortly after an ever increasing blob forms between the workpiece and the nozzle. It is almost like an invisible force is preventing the molten wire travelling to the weld pool, There is also a pronounced buzz as this occurs. This effect is more pronounced when welding at 90 degrees.
I am welding 0.9mm sheet
Welder set at 1 min
Wire speeds tried.... 2,2.5,3,3.5
It is only when I get to speeds of 5 and 6 that this effect disappears, only problem then is that the welding is very fierce and i start burning through.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
