I work as a orthotic/prosthetic technician and am at work at the moment to help ward patients who require our services to be discharged from hospital.
Our company has been asked to make visors for frontline nursing staff faced with covid 19 today the procurment people were trying to source some clear flexible plastic but seemed to be drawing a blank because of the lock down.
I didn't give it a great deal of thought until i remembered about 10 years ago i pulled a great roll of semi rigid plastic still wrapped up out of a skip.
So after my tea i had a rummage in the dark corners of the shed and hey presto came up trumps. So with any luck a bit of skip diving might just help to save a life on the front line. So its true one mans trash is another mans treasure. Time will tell
