I'm after a battery powered radio
Mostly for use outside/mobile.
Must have dab & bluetooth although only music from the phone, I don't need calls on it etc.

Now, I already have bosch & metabo battery systems so the obvious choice would be one of those but the smaller bosch/metabo offerings don't quite chuck out the volume I would like. I want something I can hear over power tools plus it might come in handy as I do mobile bars and sometimes a bit of background music would be nice without the hassle of setting a full speaker system up.

Bosch do a bigger version which is loud but it's got a roll cage around it so it's quite bulky i'm not planning to be chucking the thing around either so I don't need anything that tough.
And it's well north of £200.

I did have a small jbl bluetooth Speaker that worked well and just recharged from usb so I'm thinking of something like that if anything is available with dab built in?
It's not something I will use every day but, when I do use it, I would probably be getting it out for the long days so a 12hr+ battery life required which is then bringing me back to bosch/metabo again....

Any advice chaps?

I use a cheap £15 world radio. Not particularly loud. (A good thing) and the 4 rechargeable as batteries are up to 6 weeks of 5 days solid so far and counting.
Used to lug my big DeWalt in and plug my phone in but battery hungry and takes up a lot of room.

Never owned a dab

I still use a wireless with good old Medium wave, Hacker Sovereign made in 71, another made in 66.
The workshop has a 1970's sharp music centre, all still sound good!

Isnt music in bars etc another whole can of worms? A mate who ran a chain of tyre shops had to get the lads to turn off/remove the workshop radios for legal reasons

There is a bit of faff to licence music which we do do, we have a set of disco type speakers that we install but they are normally fed from a dj via a laptop or something. They all need mains power and cabling and they don't have any radio or anything.

I'm after something with a bit of volume, mainly, to upset the neighbours with my horrendous tasts in music, but something with enough volume to hold its own if say, we had the bar set up in a gazebo in a field next to a marquee which had a proper band/disco playing.

guys at work use cheap bluetooth speakers from ebay/amazon etc.

they chuck out pretty decent volume, batteries last a decent time too

when they're £10/£15 a time you can buy a 2nd one if you need more battery life!
