A post in another forum led me to post this simple looking jig.
The issue, broken cast metal handle.
The left hole is parallel to the handle, RHS is at a angle to give a throw.
Initial set up, bit more meddling to do.
The joint was wire brushed and then solvent dipped. Final cleaned in an alkaline cleaner.
Done. aligned and held tight into place. The picture does not show the angles or the offset for the bolts.
Worse I did not take an image of the wooden sleeve in the LHS hole.
All brazed up. it was a nice job to braze. When the temp was right the filler rod flowed nicly.
All done.
So why waste time, effort and funds on a old bit of machinery.
Simple, it gets used and enjoyed by other people.
