sheet metal?

I'm looking for something to cut sheet metal, Its only going to be up to 3mm. Only really for small panelling work. I was doing work on my mini and was just using a cutting disk to cut it. Needing something along the lines of a guillotine but no where near as big as my workshop is only 10x8.

Anything going about that is good?

Something like this bench shear Kenny?. If you look around though you can find them considerably cheaper. I paid about £80 for mine through a sealey dealer, its not a bad tool for the money,

I've got a Clarke guillotine, very handy tool. I mounted it on a 4" thick plank of wood about 4' long.

Bessey tin sheers are very good, but 3mm is a little thick.

How steady is your hand , they can be quite good, there is a bit of a knack to using them (as with any tool). For accurate cutting and to reduce distortion I make 2 cuts, first one about 6mm away from the cut line then finish it off, that way when making an accurate cut your not fighting a large off cut which wants to curl up under the blade, that tip also applies to hand held tinsnips by the way.

will go for one of them and give it a go then, maybe by a set of tinsnips aswell

I have the Clarke bench shear from Machine Mart. Very useful tool and considerably less expensive than the Sealey offering IIRC.
