I have outgrown my existing shed so a stuck a 20' container along side it for extra storage, then i had a brainwave and decided to take out the adjoining sides and extend out into it.
i cant get a vehicle into the doors on the sides so i had to make a fresh opening on the bottom side, i thought a sliding door would be the best bet so i got some henderson tracks and rollers which were not cheap and started to make a door, the door is 9' x 8'
i am using the container sides that i cut out to make the sliding door, my plan is to make the new door and then make the opening behind it to maintain security, i didnt intend on re using the sides when i cut them out so i didnt cut them square, they fitted into the bottom ok, but there was about a 10mm gap at the top.
i used some 2" x 2" angle to fill in the gap, welded it to the frame and the container sides, it went well at first but then the wind got up and blew away the gas leaving a couple of ugly welds, so i called it a day..
