I'm trying to set the pressure switch. It isn't one of those with a fixed margin between the high and low setting meaning a qick turn of the nut and it adjusts up or down taking the other setting with it, Oh no.
It's a 3 phase switch (not that it makes a difference) with 2 independent springs on each side of a rocker plate. doesn't say which is high or low side. They adjust with a screwdriver on top of each spring lenghthening or compressing the spring.
I got the high turning off at 120 then tried to adjust the low up from 65. when it kicked back in at 90 the high went to 135 etc etc. seems the springs get 'in balance' against each other and if you nadjust one setting it affects the other but never uniformly. I'm guessing it's trial and error.
Is there a way / knack to adjust these as I keep having to tweak, fill, note the shut off pressure, empty, note the kick in pressure, tweak, wait to fill then see the change (even though I've only adjusted the other pressure) and vice versa. Grrrr. can't seem to get it to kick in around 95-100 and shut off around 120-125.
