Just bung them on Ebay with a 99p start. Do they have part numbers or maker's name on them? It's not essential but it helps attract buyers if you can cut and paste the spec from the maker's website. If not just take the basic measurements and do a sketch.

Normally if you put the part number into google it will find them for you to check the prices, you may be surprised how much they cost new!

New price is only a guide to what it was once worth though. Usually the more unique the application the less the used price it unless it's a naturally sought-after part. It'd be possible to find something mint that was worth 10 grand new but now is useless to the world and you'll struggle to get 50 quid for it. Equally, you could find something is worth more now than it cost when new 20 yrs ago.
The 99p start 10 day auction is a good way of discovering the market value of a part so long as more than one person wants one. If you have half a dozen of them just put one or two on ebay at a time or all of them in a box don't put 6 identical parts into 6 auctions or you'll end up selling them all for 99p.

Ebay wouldn't let me do that, I was selling 3 identical model railway coaches, once I'd put the first one on I just hit the sell similar button and was told it wouldn't be visible until the first one had a bid on it

Can't see how that would help. One person bids 99p, another item pops up. Next bidder isn't going to bid-up the first guy he'll put a first bid on the second one and hope there isn't a third person looking for the same thing.
If you really want to list multiples just make new listings every time and copy/paste the text in.

I know a guy who used to have several identical items, he would list one of them and use the 'second chance' feature to sell the other items to people who bid but didn't win. Generally they were happy to pay their last bid price. Dunno if you can still do that, I wouldn't because eBay would slap your wrist if they found out.

Its big stuff and the angles are re enforced with a steel brace, it makes sense when you see it
