Yep seat bars are normal in rally/race application.
Only thing is if you want a valid mot drivers seat needs to move forward and back.
Also think if you are going to need to get into the back seat area for any reason?
Not sure on that - if it has an adjusting mechanism, its has to work, but if it hasn't, there is nothing to be tested. My Dutton has fixed seats - no issues. Same with my Westfield. Marcos's have fixed seats - the pedals moved, but there's nothing in the test for moving pedals.
Never seen a tester test for movement either - which isn't to say more by the book ones don't.
Fore and aft adjustment of the driver's seat not working as intended is a Major failWhen was testing (stopped 3 years ago) Vosa taught as soon as got in to move seat for fourth and aft movement.
I just scanned the manual now but manuals have changed since last looked.
Could be a grey area or would be the.
If fitted needs to be in working condition etc.
Maybe resident mot testers or techs could also jump in.
