I always find it interesting seeing what others are doing. Thought some of you might like to see what I’m doing this week.
First Job:
Three UHMWPE wear plates, that will ride up and down a steel column. Bolted on to a 150x75x18kg PFC section.
M16 A2 fasteners.
Billets are 1000 x 150 x 25mm.
This is the first time we’re trying this so Unsure of how the plastic will hold up to impact and the abrasion.
Will take photos on the install.
Second Job:
x4 Ladder sections for a mooring dolphin on the Thames.
They didn’t go with the Jotun paint system - too expensive.
We’ve gone with Zinc Phosphate Grey Primer and Stainless fasteners.
Again will take pictures on the job.
