I have a sealey supermig 150 and the gas valve played up when a mate came round to weld a nut on a stud for me I looked at it and renewed the internal seals so they were gas tight but now when pressing the trigger getting what seems to me ( inexperienced ) an adequate flow of gas and then stopping the trigger then either the valve body pops open or the gas supply hose pops off at the machine i'm not sure whether I am setting the gas level too high how can I tell ?
Its on A BOC ARGOSHIELD LIGHT SIZE X cylinder with a Sealey regulator MZ V2 (no gauge )
I think I also need to replace said gas valve as one of the plastic retainers on the sliding plate has cracked off so its held in place with tie wraps -oops ) is replacement an easy job ?? Thanks
