Sealey compressor trip switch

hi folks.my sealey compressor is tripping its trip switch when it gets to 140psi.any ideas?

Which trip switch? The MCB, the pressure switch, the motor thermal protection or something else?

What pressure do you want it to get to? What pressure did it used to get to?

The little black one on top of the motor.i tried it last week after changing the run cap and worked fine.it cut out at 150psi and cut back in‍have just noticed though the wire which I crimped into the spade connector wasn’t very good,so replaced that,and just gonna try it again.

It’s had a new run cap,so just wondering now if it’s anything to do with start cap

Just thought,this has only happened after recently changing the unloaded pipe aswell.

If it's one of these type trips change it they're always go bad after a bit of overheating....

Sorted folks.all I did was undo the unloaded and removed the little insert in the end of the pipe,so must have been causing some restriction‍
