Yes it is the Marmite version. Makes life interesting because there are no aftermarket panels. Mk3 Granny panels are somewhere near, so have to be tweaked.Doesn't look too bad in those pics. Hope it's not the f'ugly bug eyed version?
One reason for the rot became apparent when the damage was cut away. There is a drain from the sun roof that terminates inside the sill!I did similar on a Granada estate in the same colour back in the 80s. That's done well to have lasted this long. I had to rebuild the bottom of a door pillar as well.
Rumour has it that on the Capri, there was a shortage of the tubing used to drain the sunroofs so the length meant for one side was cut in two.
I can confirm in at least one of my cars the tubes end part way up the A post rather than continuing down into the sill with predictable results!

I hadn’t heard that story but nothing would surprise me! Extending the tubes was a good idea, after unblocking them of course….
I presume you are a Fordy then?
On your knees, with Vertigo in your mid sixties? I can remember in my 20s swapping a starter motor, lying in snow. How things have changed! Its a great starting point , I dream of getting things that nice to fix.
