Running Machine

Against my hoarding principles I'm getting rid of this running machine. This before I take to the tip. There's actually loads down there. Do people actually use them?

Can't be arsed advertising for free on FB etc and people rocking up.

Can't help thinking there's lots of salvageable good bits on it but with my non existent storage situation I'd rather get rid than see it sat under the tarp on the patio and well, rot. I am mind a bit apathetic to everything at the moment mind. Motor for my small lathe when I one day get it going?

Yep motor and controller at least, takes up a lot less storage space than that monstrosity

I bought the wife one that she was using up to getting an auto immune disease that presents itself as arthritis. Treadmill now moved out of the garage where it was taking up too much space and into the dining room, keep meaning to list it for sale just to get rid

Don't mess about, just take it to the tip.
If you save a few parts, you'll be taking them to the tip in a couple of years.

I have the motor and gubbins out of one, ( I never had the whole machine) the plan being to run a very small model makers lathe with it.

when I find one of those the motor and controler it will be used as a vari feed drive for a ,5m horizontal wood sander....
it's all Im waiting for.....

I got a walking machine to get the motor/controller off for a project, and my wife started using it as a walking machine. So I used the motor out of a exercise wobble board instead for that project along with a tig pedal for variable speed on a powered bead roller. Its in storage now but I'm tempted to damage the walking belt so I can declare it dead and harvest its organs finally.
I put a second walking machine motor from a bigger commercial gym one on a ex-friends mini lathe with a dc speed controller off ebay, that worked great, that he never paid me for the bits for. No good deed goes unpunished it seems.

The rubber matting comes in handy to line things too. There's a wealth of stuff waiting for havesting there and junk the rest.
