I'd like to build myself a concrete pan mixer... something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123381552554 but electric drive
the electric ones I've seen are £4000+ there's no way I'd get enough use out of one to make it worth spending anywhere near that much.... if it's expensive I'll stick with the electric mixers I have
I'd like to be able to drop a full dumpy bag of ballast in at a time, so that's about 700 litres, plus cement, plus water....
if I go 1.2m high by 1.2m diameter, that'll give me 1350litres... which should be plenty... and sticks with standard metal stock sizes (1.2m... I think?)
it's not a long tem thing so doesn't have to last forever... I'm thinking 5mm for the base and 3mm for the sides (with an extra ring around the top, 30mm box or whatever I can get)
I phoned a couple of local places but no-one is interested, if the sides was made out of one sheet it would be 3.7m... I figured that's a bit long, I figured I could work with two halfs no problem
anyone have any ideas or recommendations?
I like mixing concrete myself because often the only time I have to lay it is at night or on weekends... there's a few bits to do coming up that will have to be done on a bank holiday weekend so it's set and ready to be worked over when we're back to work.
I looked around but can't see any bending rolls cheap :-(
