Had a short session of blasting today until the rain came.
When I went to switch off the compressor didn't get the usual hiss as pressure is released but a shower of oil from around the pressure vessel.
Lifted the lid and it seems a right mess. Difficult to tell were the oil is coming from on the pressure vessel.
I'm suspecting the blow down valve has developed a fault, maybe split diaphragm but haven't had chance to check yet.
Anyone have experience of this problem of know if there's anything else likely to be wrong. All was working fine for about 3 hours soild, until I went to switch off.
Think I'll probably use the oportunity to change screw oil and separator whilst I'm repairing next weekend.
Oops almost forgot, it's a Compair Holman 37 screw type compressor.
