I got this through the post today via Aliexpress. I am going to attempt to replace the wire feed on my Portamig 235. I am still waiting for a Euro socket connector arrive so this may not happen till next weekend or later. I also need to sort a longer power cable from the rectifier to the new torch socket as the feeder will sit on the bottom of the machine and the old one is mounted on the front towards the top.
It's a hefty bit of kit and looks nicely made. Since I ordered the feeder I have noticed the same item on an AHP welder in one of Chucke2009's videos on Youtube. This of course gives no indication of the quality as Chuck always says that whatever free welder he is using this week is the smoothest he's ever used. I have tested the motor and feeder using an 18v Makita battery and it all seems nice and smooth.
One interesting feature is that the 90 degree gear attached to the motor actually sits lower than the base of the feeder which means I can't really mount the base directly to the bottom of the welder chassis as the whole thing has to be isolated from and can't touch the chassis. It's not really a problem, I have an old plastic chopping board that is going to get chopped up to raise and mount the thing but I think it is a silly design fault.
I will get in the garage at some point tomorrow, dismantle the welder a bit and start taking some measurements.
