Hi there, first post here.
I started of mig welding 17 years ago, sold my little clarke set. then not bothered for a few years. Anyway needed a welder for a couple of projects, bought a used Hobart dc tig, completed my projects and found it fantastic on the work bench but very, very difficult upside down under a car, so i think I will ebay it and buy a good hobby mig, maybe clarke 160te.have been following weldequipes advice, so if you can pm me a price I will get in touch when i have flogged the tig set.A quick question for weldequip, is 30 amps low enough for thin car bodywork, I have read that some can go down to 20 amps. (my tig set goes down to 5)_Cheers, Paul.
