Hi all, new here, some advice if i may,
My son has a Murex 160, recently the Contactor started to play up, losing power with much arcing lighting up inside the machine, Murex supplied a new Contactor, and i have used the diagrams availiale from them, i used to be an electrician, and worked on contactors for milking machines, oil refineries etc, but that was a long time ago, my queerie is---on the diagram for the contactor, It appears that the machine is shown in off position with no load, with the coil not energised! Which is as used to be the case! just need to check this is still the case,Therefore the connections show how the coil is wired and the next 2 'call them' contact bars are shown as not connected to the terminals, which are 15 to 39 and 5 to 42 while the other bottom one is 90 to 90 shown as connected in the off position, this has a dump resistor only, and this is diconnected when the coil is energised, Am i reading this correctly? Any advice gratefully recieved. Bob
