In November 2018 I bought a Chinese welder, mail order, from a trader It was an AC/DC TIG 200P with the brand name "GIANT".
After four weeks of light use it failed. I sent it back and weeks later a new one was sent to me. This one failed within 24 hours. The trader claims that must be doing something wrong or that there is something wrong with my electricity supply.
I have been welding for over 35 years, know how to treat my gear and was only using the welder for light gauge stainless welding at 65-90 amps, well within the spec of the welder.
I have 32 amps of stable, clean mains available in my workshop and I run MIG, MMA and a 50 amp R-Tech plasma cutter with no problems.
Could he have a point about my supply or is he just selling dodgy welders?
