Hi all.
I was looking at some stainless steel supports for some huge beer fermentation tanks last week and noticed that the stitch welds were stringy / thin and had, to my mind, clearly been welded with too fast a speed travel. This got me thinking - I’m sure I heard a few months ago that Welding / Engineering firms in the UK who sell welded parts to Europe should have the welders coded to some sort of standard (the reason was mooted as insurance reasons)?
Is this true?
