Hi, my lathe is fitted with an electromagnetic brake which is pretty much worn out and is also obsolete. It is 90v DC and consumes 12W according to the literature I have.
I've acquired a new brake unit which fits however it's 96v DC and consumes 24W.
I'm guessing I would get away with supplying the new brake with 90v rather than 96v but I don't want to fry the rectifier trying to get 24W from it, and I don't know what it's rated for either.
So I guess the question is where can I get a rectifier to power the new brake unit? The rectifier input voltage is 110v AC.
