after my bro bought a raptor 700 quad we quickly realized it wasn't as good a buy as we first though and ended up stripping it completely and rebuilding it, the engines great but the rest has had 13 years of abuse.
some of the things were fairly straightforward, yesterday being making some new brackets to replace bent ones that hold the bull bar onto the front.
they didn't have captive nuts in either making bolting the bull bars on and off difficult so remedied that too by welding a couple of nuts to the back of the brackets.
i cut one of the old ones off and flattened the remnants to make a copy of.
then bolted the bull bars to the lower bolt holes on the frame that were ok and bolted the new ones to the bull bar so the bars held the brackets on the frame where they needed to be.
i have a couple of other tabs that i need to weld on and repair but its going to the powder coaters Monday so need to get a wriggle on
