Kind of like an XS650 on idle. It wanders backwards on the centre stand if the idle's just a bit too high.wouldn't bother with casters it will be all over the place back and forth in use
Yes i thought about that but hope the brakes on the castors will hold. Will have to rethink if not.wouldn't bother with casters it will be all over the place back and forth in use
As brightspark my Q&S power hacksaw rocks about a bit, castors not really the best solution, machine feet more apprpriate.wouldn't bother with casters it will be all over the place back and forth in use
Thats a better idea. I want it to be able to move it so will go with that. Cheers Julianf. This is an old photo from when I picked mine up -

You can see the fixed wheels at the back. The front just has solid feet.
It really does not even think about moving on its own!
Maybe all the weight is that ''cart" that it's on?
I assume all of these are the same weight, but the idea of lifting one end of mine....???
or force the bow down when it cuts and it does real fastleast mine does it exercises your elbow as wellIt will make really accurate cuts once it is set up...just get yourself a good hard back book to read while your waiting
Cut a load of 4mm wall 100x50 box with my warco donkey saw a few weeks back.It will make really accurate cuts once it is set up...just get yourself a good hard back book to read while your waiting

I just use one of the cutting & tapping aerosols to keep the blade cool.Just a quick related question -
Do people use coolant / lubricant systems with these? The tray on mine certainly has a hole in it, and, as i have a spare sump / pump combo, i was thinkiing maybe i should add a recirculating system.
I guess if nothing else, it would make blades last longer?
