Looking for some advice regarding pulse mig,
I'm relatively new to my current job and pulse mig, but we weld alot of thicker section material from 12 mm up to 40mm in mild steel and stainless, alot if it can be tight with restricted access and our foreman always wants us to push the torch and we're not aloud to pull even though sometimes pulling would be alot more convenient, he's hasn't really explained why we can't pull, its just a case of don't do it!
So I'm hoping someone here could help me out, is it actually bad practice to pull your weld? Is it more susceptible to porosity or flaws in the weld?
Any thoughts much appreciated..
