Pub gas inquiry

anyone witin a 100mile radius of cambridge area know of someone shiftin some pub gas on the side?

need a bit to finish off my project, did buy a bottle of ebay but all of a sudden people not selling them over there anymore

already ave my bottle whichis nearly empty

if you use pub gas do you need to get a different regulator to fit the bottle or are thay the same fitment as halford bottles?

CO2 tanks (pub gas) have a male fitting.
Argon mixes have a female.

you will need the appropriate regulator.

You need a larger reg with a larger fitting for the cylinder...
The CO2 pub cylinders have a 5/8" male thread I believe...

If you want "proper" gas for your mig then try Central Auto Supplies in Huntingdon , Bedford or Milton Keynes for 20 litre bottles of 5%CO2/Argon. You would pay a deposit on the bottle and pay for the gas.

Hmm,.do they do argon too? I've got a couple of cylinders from gas cylinders.co.uk, but those would be far more convenient being a Cambs resident.

Hi , Central have the 20 Litre 5%CO2/Argon mix on trial at the moment , they can order pure Argon in 10 Litre bottles and soon in 20 Litre bottles , best to ring them for prices , but should be about £60.00 deposit on the bottle and about £57.00 for the gas ( 5% prices )

Hi , spoke to Central today , they will have pure Argon in 10 litre bottles @ 200bar tomorrow !!!
