What’s the best way to seal knots on pine?
Currently toying up between covering the knots with a knot in solution and then a good quality oil based primer.

Or a couple of coats of a BIN shellac sealer and then the oil based primer?

Any better ways? It’s not cheap which ever way so want to get it best we can first time off as I assume we’ll need to do another topcoat in a year or two’s time.
