Are we still talking kartcher washers, I got lost in wave forms etc, didn't know they powerful enough to create a wave.Smart meter chopping waveforms to reduce voltage? Even if that was possible, your equipment wouldn't run right for starters...

Also the DNO legally has to supply 230v +10-5%(may have the numbers wrong)Smart meter chopping waveforms to reduce voltage? Even if that was possible, your equipment wouldn't run right for starters...
Chris, I had problems where the supply was as low as 218 & thousands of volts in very regular milli second spikes .Also the DNO legally has to supply 230v +10-5%(may have the numbers wrong)
I’ve seen some other manufacturers have the plug for the oil in a place that need the pump head removing. If the pump is mounted inside a case it may not have a plug at all so means you have no way of checking the oil. Does this mean that the manufacturer has an expected life for the pump and when something goes wrong it’s a new pump or are they expecting more profit from labour charges etc due to the longer time it takes to dismantle the pump to change the oil
Yeah, it's as clear as mud. I wondered if plug 32 was the kiddie, but there's no confirmation of that.
It's probably fine, and the oil I found was simply from the engine seal, but just wanted to be sure.
Of course, they want me to buy their super-dooper special oil, but I'm really sceptical about that.
Quite a few of the DIY machines, including Karcher & Wap do not have any filling plug, sometimes just a breather plug, sometimes nothing!
Not that I've seen so far, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.Does it have a breather fitted somewhere so that if you overfill it the excess oil can escape?
A lot of small equipments have a simple case bolt that you remove to check & get the oil level right , pop it back in & correctly tighten it up when done . RTFM is the order of the day if there aren't any visible fillers / check holes or drain points .Not that I've seen so far, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
Thanks for the oil info.
Friend has an electric car, his home charging point knows when the Octopus tarrif drops and takes full advantage of this to minimise charging costsI understand the variable pricing - what doesn’t happen (yet, or at least it’s not widespread to my knowledge) is the connection of stuff between the meter and devices, which is what was suggested. As far as I’m aware it’s really only the meter which monitors your usage. If you have an app controlled kettle/shower/whatever (for example) - how would it “talk” to your meter when there’s no defined protocol?
I very nearly bought a new pressure washer from Aldi....
But then this turned up... View attachment 283806
I checked the air filter, before startup, and the whole assembly looked brand new.. i was surprised. It wasn’t overpriced either, only £75I want 1 of them, or similar, keep looking for SH but they either look well abused or overpriced, one day maybe
