Ok I thought I give por15 a go as I use epoxy 121 on chassis parts but had run out and it was only £26 for the starter kit. It has a small tin of por15 and degreaser and metal prep. You all now how it works and I used it by the book on some chassis parts but I now understand that it does not like uv as it will break down over time ..
I found this out after I have painted the chassis parts, so I thought I just top coat it with some aldi metal paint I had left over, but no not a good idea apparently according to por15 site you have to buy from them etch prime that can be used after por15 has gone off then use tie coat primer and that will allow me to top coat it with whatever I chose.
So that comes out at another £50 for the other two por15 products. Is this process necessary ? I know the parts are under the car but I don't want it breaking down over time etc..
Many thanks for your help and thoughts.
