I have replaced a badly corroded chrome plated steel tube with a similar sized piece of 304 Stainless steel (cosmetic part only) mainly on cost versus new chrome part & on longevity basis.
Whilst the new tube is quite shiny due to having been fine ground in manufacture (I’m guessing).
Is anything to be gained in polishing the stainless tube to get it even shinier.
I have access to polishing mop machine after a car journey but not immediately to hand.
