Hello.
I need a little help please. I just want to know from your own experience at what low Amp settings do you find a 0.8mm solid wire Stable? meaning it sizzles well and there is no popping.
Whenever I try 24-25 Amp the arc becomes unstable and there is a variation of popping. If I turn up the amp it becomes better. I am using new contact tips of the correct size for the wire. I tried all the feed motor setting speeds and I have newly replaced liner. And I tried different tension on the rollers. my stick out is normally 6mm, but I have tried shorter and longer.
The work piece thickness is around 1.5 and 2mm
Please let me know your experiences of this wire size with low amp settings and also recommendations for
Amp settings to use with 0.8mm and 0.6mm.
Thank you.
